6 Stages Of The Process Of Godliness

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels,
preached unto the Gentiles, believed on the world, received up into glory.” (1
Timothy 3:16)

6 Stages Of The Process Of Godliness

The apostle stages of the process of godliness. They are:

manifestation of God through Jesus Christ:
These means that God was in
Christ, who came in the flesh to die for sinful men. “Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: “Every spirit that confesseth that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have
heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” (1 John
Anyone who does not believe that Jesus came
in the flesh is not of God .
by the Spirit:
The gospel message that saves is one that is supported by
the Holy Spirit of God who brings conviction and conversion of sinners. “Now when they heard this, they were pricked
in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and
brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be beptised
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 2: 37)

Both at His birth and resurrection angels were involved in the
proclamation. These affirm God’s knowledge and involvement in the processes.
“And the angel answered and said unto the woman, Fear not ye: for I know that
ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he
said. Come; see the place where the Lord lay.” (Matthew 28:5). This was to
prove the resurrection.

4.       Preaching Christ to Gentiles: The
preaching of the gospel of Christ is not for Jews only but also for the
Gentiles. “The Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that
the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from
you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the
Gentiles.” (Acts 13:46).
This was a fulfillment of the prophesy of the Scripture and God’s eternal
programme for humanity.
in Christ:
The purpose of preaching the gospel is that the hearers should
repent and believe in Christ as the Lord and Saviour. “And brought them out,
and said, Sirs, what must I do to be said? And they said, Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house” (Acts 16:30,31). It is in
believing that salvation comes (Romans 10:9-13).
of Christ:
After Christ accomplished the work of redemption through the
death on the cross; He ascended to heaven and sat on the right hand of God.
“And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a
cloud received him out of their sight” (Acts 1:9).
Everything ting that the Lord does is with a purpose.
