People see the glory in leadership without seeing the tasks associated with leadership.
Day 2 of The King’s Men Fellowship the men arm of The LoveChannels Christian Center kicked off her special conference tagged: “IN-CHARGE CONFERENCE 2019” on Thursday 13th June, 2019 at it Port Harcourt Church located at 175 Ada-George Road, opposite Acarnia, Port Harcourt, Rivers State with the resident pastor of Royal House of Grace, Choba branch, Pastor Solomon Nyovele as a guest minister for the night.
The event kicked off with opening prayers followed by praise and worship after which Mr. Austin handled a pep-talk on Health Management.
The former Royal House of Grace Youths Leader and the present resident pastor of Royal House of Grace, Choba branch, Pastor Solomon Nyovele took over the pulpit to bring the Word for the night.
Pastor Solomon Nyovele who is a Seasoned Pastor, Passionate Teacher of the Word of God and worship loving pastor.
Speaking on “KINGDOM LEADERSHIP”, Pastor Solomon said; “Kingdom leadership is different from the one practice in secular world.”
“You don’t earn it (Kingdom leadership), you pray yourself into it.” the minister said. “Leadership in the Kingdom is not the pursuit of fame, power, material gains, authority”, he added.
Recalling the account of Jesus and His disciples in Luke 22:24-27, Pastor Solomon said a “leader must always humble himself and serve others.”
Citing the excuses Moses gave to God in Exodus 4:10: “And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.” The preacher admonish the congregation to always avail themselves for leadership positions whenever the need arises because “God will use you more when you are afraid to serve.”
Defining who a leader is, he said; “A leader is someone who knows the way, shows the way and leads the way.
Pastor Solomon Nyovele later outline requirements for Kingdom Leadership as follows:
- A leader must have vision.
- He must be discipline
- He must be tack and diplomacy
- He must be friendly with people.
- There must be humility.
- There must be ability to take decisions.
Wrapping up the message, the minister gave three reasons why people avoid leadership roles in the Church as: Fear of being incompetence for the job assigned to them, Fear of being accused or hated by people and many do not know that their potential to be a leader is inside of them.
After about 50 minutes on the pulpit, Pastor Solomon led the congregation to prayers to wrap up the motivating and inspiring message.
