#HOTRService: Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s message on ‘The Power In His Name’

Below is the excerpt of the senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church Cathedral Lekki, Pastor Paul Adefarasin message on the ‘The Power In His Name’ from the Books of Matthew 6:9-13 & Acts 3:2-8,12,16. Acts 4:3;7-22.

The Lord’s prayer is not a New Covenant prayer. Christ was born and raised under the Law in order to go to the cross so He could give us His life and the Grace we now enjoy in the New Covenant.

Paul encouraged Timothy to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Rightly dividing refers to the main dividing point in the scriptures which is the Cross. Many things changed from the Old New covenant into the New Covenant.

Hebrews 8:13 emphasized that the first covenant is old, over and done with. You should get rid of your Old Covenant mindset. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed through the renewing of your mind in the New Covenant.

When you pray the Lord’s prayer, you are trying to get credit from an expired agreement.

As long as you are inside Him which is Christ, you are complete. This means that you are healed, the head only and not the tail, you are the victor not the victim because Christ, the fullness of the Godhead, dwells inside you.

The New Covenant doesn’t break yokes and removes burdens. It celebrates the fact that yokes have been broken and burdens removed already. It’s all already done!

Things don’t work under the Old Covenant because it is an expired covenant. If God could build great nations under the Law, how much more under the New Covenant through Christ?

The King of Glory is here. The Kingdom of Glory is in you. The King of Glory is inside of you. Heaven is in you, so don’t exclude yourself from being a partaker of and in the divine nature.

All scripture teaches the New Covenant. It was concealed in the Old Testament but revealed in the New Testament.

The Word of God is a person, the Living Word who is Jesus Christ. When God put you in Christ, He put you in the Living Word. So when He said; ‘Be holy, as I Am Holy’, it simply means accept what Christ has done for you already and just BE.

The name of Jesus Christ has already dealt with the most challenging issue in your life. All you have to do is believe and accept it for it is already done.

Man is in charge of the earth. However, many of the men are operating under the Law. Jesus, however pointed that the Kingdom of Heaven was imminent and would arrive fully upon His exit.

The fullness of Christ is available to all humanity as many that believe in Him. This is why nobody goes to hell because of sin. The only reason anyone goes to hell is because they rejected Christ.

In the New Covenant, sin is anything that doesn’t proceed from faith.

Asking in Christ’s name is not about mentions at the beginning and end of prayer. To pray in Jesus’ name is to represent all that Christ is. It means that you approach God with good understanding that God accepts you completely just as He accepts Christ completely.

When you come before God in prayer, understand that there’s no mediator between God and man except the ‘Man’ Christ Jesus. Through Him who is a Man (Christ) you come boldly to God’s throne because He represents you – 1 Timothy 2:5

You are not under law anymore because you have Sonship with Christ and in Christ.

Call the name of Jesus over your circumstances and believe that it is done. There is authority and power in the name of Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
