Following reactions and criticisms by many Port Harcourt base entertainers on and off the social media concerning the march to Rivers State Government House by Rivers State Entertainment Stakeholders on Thursday 9th May, 2019, the faction Chairman of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) Rivers State chapter, Abiye Ephraim has reacted to those criticising the move and said, it’s very unfortunate.
Reacting in a radio programme in Port Harcourt, Mr Abiye said:
“It is very unfortunate that some people criticising this move are also entertainers. I think they should be happy instead of criticising it, because what we went out for is for the benefit of all, everybody.”
Speaking further, he said, “I was expecting them to be happy instead of being sad, what we went there for was not to do anything but to ask for a meeting with the Governor (Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike).”
