Singer who was extorted by SARS for carrying laptop gets his money back

Singer, Benjiszzy Záakìi Omale who was arrested and extorted by men of Special Anti-Robbery Squad [SARS] in Port Harcourt for “carrying laptop” has gotten his money back after the intervention by Nigerians and social media users.

Benjiszzy, this morning used his Facebook account to thank his family, The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sega L’éveilleur, Rugged Man, CSP Alhaji Alhassan, Ambassador Bosinde Araikpe, Mr. Daniel Okwara, Port Harcourt bloggers, artists and everyone who supported him during his travail.

To everyone who called, supported, prayed and looked out for me all through this “trying time”, and made sure justice prevailed, my heartfelt gratitude goes out to you.

Thank you to my family, The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sega L’éveilleur, Rugged Man, CSP Alhaji Alhassan, Ambassador Bosinde Araikpe, Mr. Daniel Okwara, Port Harcourt bloggers, artists, and the Media, and to everyone else who came through for me and for what is just and right. Thank you for the overwhelming love. I am deeply grateful.”

Meanwhile, Comedian KO Baba has advised people to always speak out whenever they are assaulted by security officers.

In his post, he wrote; Speak out if any SARS assault, Benjiszzy Záakìi Omale has gotten his money back. Thanks to his family, NPF, Bosinde and others.”
