GRAPHIC: Corpses Recovered As Bus Plunged Into A River In Ahoada, Rivers State

On Tuesday, October 16, along (Akala Olu) Okogbe-Mbiama axis, East-West road of Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State, a sixteen seater passenger bus veered off a flooded bridge and plunged into a river in Rivers state after attempting to escape from oncoming tanker.

According to the eye-witness, eight persons was rescued on Tuesday when the incident occurred.

Two corpses have been recovered from the river making it the total of four corpses.

The recovered victims are Wasini Patience and Nnena Achegbu.

The corpses have been deposited in a mortuary.

Other items found in the river:
– Vehicle head lamp
-Female hand bands with one phone inside.

The Items were handed over to Road Safety Personnel of Akinima unit command who were present at the scene.
