Popular Award winning Nigerian rapper, Teria Yarhere popularly known as M-Trill has spoken on working studio project and reasons for being off the music scene for a very long period of time.
He made this disclosure on The Renegade Podcast, stating that he had to settle issues with his erstwhile record label Grafton Records.
M-TRILL revealed that his then record label were not giving him what he exactly wanted and he didn’t want to do any form of media back and forth with them in order not to throw away the trust of potential investors, so he had to deal with it till his contract was over.
He said, “Because I was much younger, there are ways to go about it that I didn’t know because I did not have experienced people around me.”
He further said, “The record label was doing a lot looking back now I understand what they were growing through.”
M-Trill also mentioned that while he was having his issues, he decided to gather more knowledge so he enrolled in a business school where he learnt a lot about business.
The Trilla crooner also advised young and upcoming act to gather some business experience before they sign any deal.
M-Trill further revealed that he’s preparing to drop his Third Studio project before the year runs out.
He is one of the few Nigerian acts who has put out music from other parts of Nigeria asides Lagos, he shocked the world when he won a Channel O’Award Best Africa west category from Port Harcourt in 2018.
