Speaking to us during the preparation for 2018 edition for Nigerian Queen, last edition winner of the competition, Miss Sandra Essien told us that she is happy and at the same time sad that she will be handing over her crown to another this year. Though she acknowledge that the journey of being  Nigerian Queen has being a “wonderful experience” and wish to be the Nigerian Queen for the next five years.

Responding to the question thrown at her on what her plan is after handing over the crown, the 2017 Nigerian Queen said that “after tomorrow, I will just take my time and enjoy life as a normal girl again and then look at venturing into fashion business.”

When asked if she will be going with her car prize or handing it over to the pageant organisers, Miss Sandra stressfully said: “I am leaving with my Hyundai SUV car.”

Earlier, she told us that she “totally don’t know” who is going to be crown the next Nigerian Queen 2018. Explaining that “all the contestants are good” making it difficult to know who the winner will be.
