How To Prosper In Your Work

Work is a gift from God, not a punishment and if you must propser, you must work. If you must avoid poverty, never be lazy.

We are going to look at factor the ensure that you prosper in your work.

1.  See God as your true employer – “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.” Ephesian 6:7

2.  Be an expert at your job – “A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.” – Proverbs 1:5

3. Refuse to be a time waster -“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:16, Ephesians 4:28.

4. Be priority conscious – “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,” Philippians 3:13

5. Ask your boss for suggestions and corrections. 

6. Always consult the Holy spirit before making sensitive decisions.

7. Be sincere to yourself – “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13.

8.  Ask for help and information when needed – “A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.” Proverbs 24:5,6.

9. Avoid gossips – “Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his
brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth
the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but
a judge.” James 4:11, Proverbs 26:22.

10. Go the extra mile – And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. (Matthew 5:41).

11. Always render a helping hand to others when possible – “Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.” (Proverbs 3:27).

12. Project Jesus genuinely –  “And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, ” (2 Timothy 2:24).

13. Learn to forgive and have control over your temper – “He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.” (Proverbs 14:17).

14. Keep correct and accurate records – “Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.” (Proverbs 27:23).

15. Refuse to be corrupt – “A wicked man taketh a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment. ” (Proverbs 17:23, Jeremiah 1:8).

16. Make the word of God your standard for living at work – “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16).
