#Quotes of Mensa Otabil [@MensaOtabil] during the World Conference 2018 at the House On The Rock Church

Dr. Mensa Otabil is a Ghanaian theologian, philanthropist, motivational speaker, entrepreneur. He is the founder and senior Pastor of International Central Gospel Church  (ICGC) headquartered in Accra, Ghana.

He was the first speaker at the World Conference 2018 in House On The Rock Church, Lagos.

During his ministration, Pastor Otabil  spoke on the message:  "Christ The Power Of God."

Below are some of the key words from his teaching:

"
In all you do, you have to make Christ your focus. For there to be transformation, Jesus has to be the focus.

Transformation of Christ first affects your person just like the face of Jesus changed on the Mount of Transfiguration.

The first thing that happens with respect to transformation is personal transformation. Christianity is not about continuing your old life but a cessation of that old life to something new - it shows on your face.

The second aspect of transformation is public transformation. On the Mount of Transfiguration, the clothes of Jesus changed which symbolizes public transformation.

The third thing that happened to Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration was that there was a cloud over everyone present which symbolises Social Transformation.

Christians can change the country without the legislature when we model the change in Christ.

There is no transformation when people encounter the Word of God with a veil - culture. The greatest hindrance to transformation is culture.

Every culture has an understanding of Christ and we are likely to project this into our prayers because believers expect Christ to be like how our culture dictates.

The veil that covers the glory becomes stronger when we move further from the Word of God.

People who are looking for signs are never satisfied because they're not looking for God but are looking for signs. That was why even though Jesus had performed so many miracles, the Jews still asked for a sign.

In Christ Jesus, what you think is foolishness is the power of God.

Until you remove the veil of culture, the glory of God will not have full expression. You have to consciously confront the veil of culture whenever you engage the glory of God.

Christ is sufficient! You don't need to add anything to Him. He is complete by Himself. He is efficient. Don't help His Name or Blood, just trust Him. If your faith is in Him, then His power will manifest in your life.

You have access to God without any symbols or physical objects.

The mark of maturity is not in what you do but in what you put away - 1 Corinthians 13:11

The way you treat your colleagues, your staff and your neighbours will be different when you relate with Christ without the veil.
