Christ's Consuming Passion For The Sinners Salvation -John 4 :31-42

Pastor Kumuyi's Monday Bible Study Excerpt:

Christ's Consuming Passion For The Sinners Salvation -John 4 :31-42

The time Jesus came to the woman, he was hungry, thirst and he called the woman to give him water from the well to drink. Jesus told them there is a kind of food that you don't understand, just like the woman at the well. In verse 34"Jesus saith unto them. My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work" His will is to do the will of Him that sent me. That brings contentment and also build him up.

This leads us to the conditions of the whole story of the Samaritan woman. That Jesus Christ was the Saviour, that Jesus Christ was the Messiah [John 4:3] Jesus Christ brings:
- Conviction
- Confession
- Conversion
- Consecration.

She consecrated everything and left her water pot at the well. The word of God guides us more, and teaches us more as the Saviour of salvation. This is the Saviour of the world.

1.      The Slow Comprehension Of The Spiritual: John 4:34; Genesis 24:33; Job 23:12; John 5:30; John 6:38; Mark 13:34; John 17:18; John 20:21.

Here is the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. The comprehension, the commitment and the zeal of serving the Lord. The disciples were so slow of Christ passion.

They didn't understand the concern, the purpose of Christ and they do not understand the scripture and the vision of the gospel of the Lord. When others did not understand what passion, what vision is all about but Jesus Christ said "I have meat to eat" what satisfied him, and what gives him contentment.

He wasn't talking about Jerusalem, or Capernaum. He was talking about individual. Hers we found many people they do not have concern for their salvation. The number one things in the life of our Lord Jesus

* He has life priority (Genesis 24:3). He was willing to do the will of His father.
* He keep on serving the Lord. (John 4:34).

The will of the father who hast sent him, is to concentrate, consecrate, commitment, conviction of his life). Here we see many people who are full of their own self and own will...they do not understand the passion of the will of their father (God). In John 6:38 "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me".

Jesus reminded himself, the will of my father is that, the people will not perish, the will come to the Lord (Salvation, repentance of saving souls). In the book of John 4:34" Jesus said unto them. My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work".

In John 9:4 " I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh she. no man can work". He was monitoring, preaching, he was evaluating every thing of his father will. John 19:20 - He was on the cross of calvary, the last moment, the minute of his breath.

2. The Storage Commission Of The Saviour: John 4:28,29,35; Acts 8:4-8; Acts 8:26-3.

We are not competing each other, instead we are commending and complimenting each other. Jesus Christ talking about his disciples [John 4:35].

Telling the disciples to follow him, that he will make them FISHERS OF MEN! Then he said BEHOLD... He said BEHOLD I come unto you, lift up your heart" He is talking about the way to evangelised and also something spiritual, the Samaritan woman in verse 38: Jesus Christ telling us about the Samaritan woman, how she go about announcing everything He (Jesus) said, and told her everyday that happen unto her.

[Acts 8:4,5] "Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word" verse 5 "Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ unto them". The people are totally ignorance. He was a great man (Philip).

3. The Samaritan Conversion By The Saviour: John 4:39; John 11:44, 45; John 4:40,42; Jeremiah 14:8; Luke 8:38-41.

There are many cities in Samaria - John 4:39 "And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified. He told ma all that ever I did". Where Jesus Christ performs His first miracle (He turned water to wine). He performed miracle in Jerusalem as the result of that, many people believed.

When you have Christ and you are fully born again, He said that you should "tarry". Here was a new convert (The Samaritan woman) went out announcing throughout the city of the great thing Jesus Christ has done for her..."whatsoever shall can upon the name of the Lord shall be saved".
