The post is an excerpt of message of General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi during his Monday Bible Study on Monday 27th February, 2017

BIBLE STUDY - Christ The Perfect Sacrifice: John 1:14-34

From the book of saint John chapter 1:14 "“And the Word was made flesh,
and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” What we are learning in John is the revelation of Jesus himself. So we have to be prayerful, for the Lord himself will reveal his mind to us.

As we look at Jesus Christ, he revealed Himself to us
-As the WORLD. John 1:2
- As the CREATOR. John 1:3
-As the only begotten Son of God. (Son of the Father). John 1:14
- As the LAMB OF GOD. John 1:29
- As the ETERNAL ONE. John 1:30
-As the BAPTISER OF THE HOLY GHOST. John 1:33
- As the MESSIAH. John 1:19
- As the SON OF GOD. John 1:41
- As the KING OF ISRAEL. John 1:42
- As the LADDER (That got us to heaven). John 1:52.

Jesus Christ is the Light that light every man. The Light makes us live in the present of God. The incantations of the Lord. This is not just the offering of Adam but the offering of the Father. The offering and the anticipation of the Lord of God. Here is the finality [John1:29] "“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” He is saying quite a lot about Jesus Christ. Jesus our only sanctifier, He empower us, He energises us in the holy ghost.
The introduction according to John, he has a lot for everyone, he gives us Light, life, grace, and truth. He reveal the Father fullness to us (It brings the knowledge of the Most High God). He is the one that takes our sins away.

The Lamb of God that takes way our sins and guilt.

Point 1: The Supremacy Of Christ Jesus:  John1:14; Isaiah 1:14; Matthew 1:21-23; Philippians 2:6-10; John 1:15; John 8:30; 2Corinthians 9:8; Hebrews 4:14-16.

He is above all men, above all every generation. John talking about the word,and he is being identify by his word in John 1:1" In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". This is not just the written word, it talking to everyone the personality of the word. This is to identified and introduce the word - 1John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." that Jesus Christ the holy ghost, He is God.

He came to dwell among us, the glory that is peculiar to him, personal to him " And the Lord was made flesh, and dwell among us,( and we beheld his glory, the glory of his only begotten Son of the Father) full of grace and truth ". This is our Lord Jesus Christ, He is not just a man, He was in the form of God before he became flesh and dwell among us.

He was distinct and divine [Philippians 2:6,7] it says, "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: verse 7"But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men". He retain the glory, and His deity, He empty himself of his divine glory. He made himself bought exalted him.
Where will you spent eternity, if you can not withhold the glory of the Lord Jesus?
The glory which was begotten of the father full of grace and truth.

* SAVING GRACE - Many are limited in understanding of his saving grace.
* SATISFYING GRACE
* SPIRIT GIVEN GRACE
* STEADFAST GRACE ( Some people who can not stand firm)
* SUPERNATURAL GRACE
* SUFFICIENT GRACE.

He has the truth, the truth that set is free..." If the Son shall be set free, ye shall be free indeed" The truth is like foundation for every man. It is an exclusive foundation flowing in your live. The truth is like a fountain, it's like getting you ready to heaven.

John was humble and truthful, but seeing of his fullness "grace for grace, for the Lord was given by Moses, but grace was given by Jesus. He has the fountain, foundation and he has freedom. He will set you free from fear, condemnations and He will will give you freedom" Full of grace and full of truth " And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all
things, may have an abundance for every good work". God is able, He will never leave you " Let us therefore come boldly in the throne of grace, that we might obtain mercy ".

Point 2: The Superiority Of Christ To John:  John 1:19-28; Deuteronomy 18:15, 18-22; Acts 3:19-26; Matthew 11:11; John 8:53-58; Hebrews 7:1-3.
Here is the one that Christ said, he is glorious. In the book of John 1:19 "And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him.
Who art thou? talking to us ,when Jesus Christ said, the Prophet - For Moses truly said unto the father,A Prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you". Here is the reality, which John assured the people (He is not the Saviour, as the Lamb of God), for Christ is the Lamb of God. That Jesus Christ was greater than himself (John).

In Matthew 11:11 "Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the  kingdom of heaven is greater than he".

Talking about John the Baptist, also talking about Jesus the Messiah. Jesus Christ being the superior to John, and being the superior to everyone [John 8:54] "Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God." That is the Lamb of double fulfillment and is the Lamb of God (Jesus) "Jesus said unto them, verily I said unto you, Before Abraham was, I am". It tells us that, Jesus Christ, is greater that everyone.
He is greater than John the Baptist.

In the book if Hebrews 1:3 "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. The glory and the revelation of the lamb God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering" Have am I, my Son. And He said, Behold the fire and the wold: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

POINT 3:The Sacrificed Of Christ Our Justifier: John 1:29; Exodus 12:3,12,13; Isaiah 53:6; Acts 8:30-35; 1John 3:5-8.

Here come the lamb our substitute, because the lamb of Christ has been provided for everyone of you. In the book of Isaiah 53:6 "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Referring us to the lamb, the Lamb of God. The revelation of the Lamb . Every sin, every transgression, every evil you have committed, you can compel (bundle) them to God the Father and He will forgive. He takes the sin of the world away. As you give your life to the Lord, many are called, view are chosen " He that see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many: for he shall bear their iniquities".
Jesus is that Lamb, it takes away all our sins away; He takes away all our iniquities. The Lamb of God who satisfied "He that might redeem us from all iniquity" - He prepared us for heaven. He set us free. The purpose he came is to take our sins away.

In verse 7 " Let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous". He came for this purpose (That he might destroy the works of the devil). He is full of grace and he is full of truth!
