7 Lessons from the story of Lazarus and the rich man

Life is full of lessons but only the wise get positive things out of it.

7 Lessons from the story of Lazarus and the rich man Life is full of lessons but only the wise get positive things out of it. The story of Lazarus and the rich man gave us many lessons and in this post, we are going to discover seven out of many. 1. In the society, everybody will not be equal in status: “There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.” Luke 16:19-21 There must be the rich and the poor in any society, no matter the economy of that nation. But today I pray that, no matter the economy of the world, God will make you great in Jesus’ name. 2. Everybody must die: “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angel into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried.” Luke 16:22 Death awaits every living thing but your preparation before death is what matters. 3. Hell is real: “And in hell he lift up his eyes,…” Luke 16:23 Hell awaits the evil doers. You have an opportunity today to make amend of all your sins and come to Christ the Saviour. 4. Heaven is real: “… seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” Luke 16:23 Heaven is made for those who always do the Will of God at all time. Those whose robes are clean. 5. Hell is a place of torment: “And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” Luke 16:24 6. There is no mercy or forgiveness after death: “But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receives thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things, but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed; so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.” Luke 16:25-26 7. We have opportunity to repent from our sin now we are alive: “Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldst send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham said unto him. They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear the. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, if they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” Luke 16:27:31 Drop your thought on the comment section below please.

The story of Lazarus and the rich man gave us many lessons and in this post, we are going to discover seven out of many

    1.   In the society, everybody will not be equal in status:
“There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, desiring to be fed with the crumbs  which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.” Luke 16:19-21

There must be the rich and the poor in any society, no matter the economy of that nation.

But today I pray that, no matter the economy of the world, God will make you great in Jesus’ name.

     2.   Everybody must die:
“And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angel into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried.” Luke 16:22

Death awaits every living thing but your preparation before death is what matters.

     3.   Hell is real:
“And in hell he lift up his eyes,…” Luke 16:23

Hell awaits the evil doers. You have an opportunity today to make amend of all your sins and come to Christ the Saviour.

     4.   Heaven is real:
“… seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” Luke 16:23

Heaven is made for those who always do the Will of God at all time. Those whose robes are clean.

     5.   Hell is a place of torment:
“And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” Luke 16:24

      6.   There is no mercy or forgiveness after death:

“But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receives thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things, but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed; so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.” Luke 16:25-26

   7.   We have opportunity to repent from our sin now we are alive:

“Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldst send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham said unto him. They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear the. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, if they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” Luke 16:27:31
