The Revelation of Christ's Second Coming: Revelations 1:7-8 The post is an excerpt of Monday Bible Study of General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor W.F. kumuyi on 05/09/2016. "Behold, He cometh in the clouds; and every eye shall see Him......." It's like the heaven and the earth are standing at attention, men and angels also standing at attention, gazing into the sky at the second coming of Christ. He came at first to save humanity from sin, sickness, to conquer the devil, to destroy his works. Then He went to heaven, and He is coming again. Revelation gives us understanding, the curtains are pushed aside so we can get a clear view of all that is yet to come. There were many prophesies about Christ's coming before His first advent. A proclamation from heaven to earth. Isaiah 9:6. A virgin shall conceive and bear a son...... this prophecy came 700 years before Jesus was born. 53:3... a man of sorrow, and acquainted with grief..... prophesying of the agony He would go through before His death on the cross. David wrote prophetically in Psalm 22:1, "my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" One of the words Jesus spoke on the cross before He gave up the ghost. At His first advent, the Jews did not believe He was already with them, they thought He was yet to come. The Samaritan woman at the well spoke of the Messiah as "still coming", not knowing He was the one speaking wit her. But just as the prophecies concerning His first coming were fulfilled, so will all the prophecies about His second coming come to pass. * Our heavenly Father spoke about it * Jesus Himself spoke about it * The Apostles prophesied about it * The prophets also prophesied about it. The pronouncements of the second coming of Christ can be seen seven times in the book of Revelation: Revelation 1:7 "Behold, He cometh with clouds...." Revelation 2:25 "..... hold fast till I come" Revelation 3:11 "Behold, I come quickly....." Revelation 16:15 "Behold I come as a thief" Revelation 22:7 "Behold I come quickly...." Jesus is the beginning and ending of all things. If He says He will come, we must believe He certainly will. He was, He is and He is yet to come. Has He spoken about His second coming before now? Yes. John 14:1-3. Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ takes our trouble away. He has the power to take care of all our needs. At His first advent, the Jews did not believe He was already with them, they thought He was yet to come.
